Research

The university has experienced quantitative and qualitative growth in this area, maintaining three research institutes: The Historical Research Institute, The Economic and Social Research Institute with four departments: demography, socio-political studies, labor studies and economics, and the Law Research Institute. 

There are also six research centers:
Human Rights Center (CDH)
Engineering Research and Development Center (CIDI)
Communications Research Center (CIC)
Institutional Investigation and Evaluation Center (CIEI)
Humanistic Research and Formation Center (CIFH)
Education, Productivity and Life Research Center (CIEPV)

The Undergraduate and Postgraduate research together with the work done by the institutes and centers have transformed UCAB into a basic point of reference for national research. This activity has resulted in the publication of numerous books in the areas of social sciences, law, economy, education, philosophy, history, engineering, linguistics and literature, psychology, religion, communications, indigenous and anthropology; as well as periodical institutional reviews.
